Udonis Haslem was born on 9th June the year 1981 in Miami, Florida, United States. He was the son of the parents of his grandparents, John as well as Debra. John is his father. John is a professional basketball player for the team of college basketball, Stetson Hatters.

In terms of his education, the school he attended was Wolfson High School and Miami Senior High School. In the years 1997 and 1998, he aided the team of his high school to win state championships. But, Miami High was removed from the title of 1998 due to the violations and rules of the Florida High School Athletic Association.

Udonis was not drafted at the time of his 2002 NBA draft due to the dimensions requirements. His height was recorded at 6 feet 6 inches in height at the NBA draft camp. After a while, he signed up for the basketball team, the Atlanta Hawks. But, he was let go by the Hawks prior to they starting the 2002-03 NBA season. 

After that, he was accepted with Chalon-Sur-Saone, a French basketball club, Chalon-Sur-Saone. In one season for the French team and scored an average score of 16.1 and racked up 9.4 rebounding in every game.

Haslem was recruited by his local team, the Miami Heat on August 6 in 2003. He played in all 80 games of the 2004-2005 season. during the entire season, he scored an average that was 10.9, 9.1 rebounds, and also racked up 1.4 aids in 33.4 minutes of play.
